BREXIT'S UNHAPPINESS AND ITALY'S REFERENDUM

by Massimo Colaiacomo

There wasn't need of Brexit to understand the Europe's growing difficulties. But there was need of them to understand what could be a country outside of EU. The Brexit's lesson still is starting and already we can see first hard consequences. It won't be easy for the Chancellor, David Hammond, to persuade that party of English people favorable to Brexit over the hard necessaries struggle to hold public balance under control. Hammond has disclose a budget plan very hard for next years. It calls for total cut about 120 million pound as well as a dropping of 500.000 job role.
This is only a little part of the big picture. English government should fiddle with strong save's plan to face fall of pound change. Theresa May will sit down with Merkel and Juncker thinking in one hand to the advantages that will miss his country and in one other hand should be flexible to bring less hard conditions to safeguard the access to European market.
So it makes sense the hustle who divides Conservative between hard and soft-Brexit. English people discovered later the consequences of his own choices. Europe just wasn't a choosy stepmother because inside EU English industries could have enormous advantage as public funding and have available a great market for export.
What does that have to do with Italy's referendum? Nothing, in appearance. To the contrary there's a thin thread who link Brexit and referendum on Italy. It matter of the behavior in front the Europe. The alliance for NOT to referendum shows divergent over Europe. Mr Berlusconi criticized European partner but he has never back outside from euro or EU. His allied Salvini, Lega's leader, and Giorgia Meloni, Fratelli d'Italia's leader, have always kept an open mind on it. This fact made the alliance less credible to the eyes of public opinion. Also Mr Renzi criticized EU with his excess of duties until to threaten to put the veto to next community budget. But Mr Renzi has never threatened exiting from Europe Union. In the pubic sentiment that is a remarkable difference and could weigh in the final decision
